Letter from the CEO
Victoria J. Brady CEO

Dear Friends, Partners, and Community Members,As we reflect on 2024, I’m filled with pride and gratitude—for the work we’ve done, the challenges we’ve faced together, and the many lives touched through our mission. At Cabrillo Economic Development Corporation, 2024 was a year of connection, compassion, and deepened commitment to something we hold dear: bringing community home.

“Bringing Community Home” isn’t just a theme—it’s the purpose behind every decision we make and every door we help open. It’s a reflection of what we see every day—a single parent unlocking the door to a new beginning, a senior finding peace and safety in a home built with care, a child growing up with a sense of belonging. These moments remind us that housing is not just about buildings—it’s about people, and the lives that take shape within those walls. Over the past year, we have deepened our roots in the communities we serve, expanded access to affordable housing, and strengthened the supportive services that help individuals and families thrive.

Our team worked diligently to complete new housing developments, preserve existing properties, and advocate for equitable policies that address the growing housing crisis in our region. We also expanded our resident services programs, creating more pathways to education, economic advancement, and wellness. These accomplishments were made possible by the trust and support of our partners, funders, and most importantly, the residents who inspire us every day.

“Bringing Community Home” also means building neighborhoods where people feel seen, heard, and valued. It’s about creating spaces where culture is celebrated, voices are amplified, and everyone has a place to belong. That vision drives us forward as we look to 2025 and beyond.

To our staff, board members, partners, and supporters—thank you. Your dedication fuels our progress and your belief in our mission propels us to dream bigger. Thank you for standing with us, for lifting up our residents, and for helping us turn vision into reality.

Here’s to continuing the journey—together.

With gratitude and determination,
Victoria Brady
